Have you ever seen a chess simul?

A chess simul (simultaneous exhibition) is when one player takes on multiple opponents at the same time, moving from board to board and making a move on each.

Recently, I had the opportunity to witness an incredible chess simul by 10-year-old Ridit Kakani. He played against 18 players simultaneously over 2½ hours!

Ridit finished with an impressive score:

🏆 15 wins🤝 1 draw👏 2 losses

Aadhi managed to win his game, while Aayu was the last player remaining and secured a hard-fought draw after a 2½-hour battle. Interestingly, both Aadhi and Aayu felt that Ridit played brilliantly and believed he had a real chance of winning had the game continued without the draw.

I wanted to share this not only because of Ridit's remarkable chess talent, but because of something even more impressive, his humility, courage, positive attitude, and down-to-earth nature at such a young age. He is a wonderful example that true success is not just about intelligence, but also character, ethics and values in life. This event was organized by Kanata Chess Academy, Ridit is a former student of KCA, that's where he started his Chess journey.

Although I don't know his family personally, I had the chance to speak with his father and congratulate him on raising such a well-balanced young man. It was inspiring to see. According to his dad he has started his Chess journey at the age of 5 1/2 yrs.
