Designed for a young professional couple in British Columbia, Canada, this apartment was thoughtfully curated to support their lifestyle now-while seamlessly preparing the space for a future transition into a short-term rental (STR).
The design blends Scandinavian warmth with industrial character, creating a timeless, low-maintenance interior that feels personal yet universally appealing. Natural textures, black metal accents, layered lighting, and abundant greenery bring balance, comfort, and long-term value to the space.

Living Area

The living space is designed as a welcoming heart of the home-functional for everyday living and visually compelling for future STR guests. A neutral palette of soft whites, charcoal greys, and warm wood tones is anchored by black metal detailing for a clean, modern edge. Open shelving allows curated styling without clutter, while indoor plants add life, freshness, and a biophilic connection.
This flexible layout ensures the space photographs beautifully and adapts effortlessly from personal use to rental-ready living.

Bedroom

The bedroom offers a calm, retreat-like atmosphere with a tactile mix of exposed brick, reclaimed wood, and soft textiles. Layered bedding, warm ambient lighting, and thoughtfully placed greenery create a cozy yet elevated feel- ideal for rest today and guest comfort tomorrow.

Designed with durability, style, and ease of maintenance in mind, the bathroom features clean-lined finishes, black fixtures, warm wood elements, and natural textures. A glass shower enclosure enhances openness, while plants soften the space and add spa-like calm.
